Here are screen shots of the various websites used on a regular basis including the website purchased this year called "Think Through Math", TTM for short.
TTM began in late November. Before the program was launched I used a variety of resources and websites to implement and differentiate the intervention support and progress monitoring I provide in my class. Although we do not rely on TTM as the only resource, it is used most often and the websites that preceded TTM now are part of the support system. Data collection and analysis is now easier with TTM. It includes many valuable reports that can be accessed, printed and downloaded. Similar to the SRI and SMI, Think Through Math gives a quantile number, ranking, and places them between far below basic to proficient in their level.

Khan academy is a free website the students have been using since September. Below is a snapshot of valuable and informative steps.
khan academy also allows teachers to manage and monitor the progress of the students in the classes that are set up. Notice below, it is available and accessible by class period.
The khan academy website has much to offer. Students can choose grade levels as well as academic areas. My algebra students use the search tool often. Teachers can assign a search topic or a lesson topic.
As you can see below, khan academy also provides students with an overview of their math curriculum.
thatquiz.org was used most often for data collection prior to the implementation of TTM. I created and/or copied already teacher created quizzes and used them to assess mastery of skills that aligned with the scope and sequence (year-at-a-glance)

Think Through Math was implemented in late November. It is a new program this year that students in my class use for intervention and support. It gives the teacher valuable resources such as a "Snapshot Report" which is individual student data.
Below is a page from TTM that a student is working on. You can see here it's an Algebra student who is being asked about the concept of slope. On the right hand side of the page are tools and a help button. The help button gives information to help the student solve the problems and can connect to a live person for 1:1 support.
Some of my students will look to see if there up on the TTM leader board and have shown interest in making donations to charities as the earn points. Below you can see in this snap shot that St. Jude and Wounded warrior project are charities.
Tenmarks.com is a website I explored after a student in my class suggested I look at it. She used it in the past and liked it. After looking at all that it had to offer, I incorporated it into my students daily activities. As you can see below, a teacher can assign lessons by SOL.
Tenmarks.com provides the teacher with options to pick and choose all, one, or none of the learning tracks (lessons and units). Having the SOL's makes it is easier to align the tracks to the pacing guide(s).

Here's a snap shop of the main page for kahoot.it. This page gives me information such as how many kahoot quizzes I have and the option to start/create a new quiz.
|
Students created and used a kahoot account to design a quiz and test their peers.
|
The student or teacher projects their quiz up on the smart board or projector so everyone can see the questions. Those playing have limited time to enter the PIN assigned to the quiz and then it's time to play!

seesaw.me app on the ipads is a way for students to create and display video tutorials for their peers. Others can view and comment on the videos. |
